Hon. Shagaya has distributed fertilizers and agricultural sprays to farmers in the Ilorin West/Asa Federal Constituency. The event saw a large turnout of farmers, including members of the All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN) from the 29 wards of Ilorin West and Asa Local Government Areas, as well as non-members who are genuine farmers.

During the event, Hon. Shagaya highlighted the importance of this initiative in supporting local farmers. “As part of our ongoing efforts to improve food security and boost the agricultural sector, we have successfully completed another phase of fertilizer distribution for farmers in the Ilorin West/Asa Federal Constituency. This initiative marks an important step towards empowering farmers and ensuring they have access to the necessary resources to maximize their crop yields,” he stated.

Local leaders and farming communities praised the initiative, recognizing it as a crucial contribution to enhancing agricultural productivity in the region. The distribution of fertilizers and sprays is expected to significantly improve crop yields and promote sustainable farming practices in the constituency.

Dr. Ibrahim Abdullahi, the Legislative Aide representing Hon. Shagaya, noted that this initiative aligns with the broader efforts of the Kwara State Governor to strengthen the agricultural sector and improve food security across the state. “By providing critical resources and infrastructure for farmers, this initiative supports the governor’s commitment to fostering sustainable agricultural practices and boosting the local economy,” he concluded.
