In a display of philanthropy and commitment to serving his constituents, the Member representing Ilorin West/Asa Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Honourable Muktar Tolani Shagaya, has provided cash relief empowerment during the holy month of Ramadan.

Approximately 700 individuals benefited from this initiative, with some receiving 50,000 naira and others receiving 100,000 naira.

This empowerment program serves as a palliative measure to alleviate the economic hardship faced by many in the community. Although not a permanent solution, Honourable Shagaya believes that it will help cushion the effects of the current situation and provide temporary relief to those in need.
Speaking at the event, the Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. (Engr.) Salihu Danladi Yakubu, commended Honourable Shagaya for his act of compassion and generosity. He stated that such initiatives help ease the burdens faced by community members and foster a sense of unity and support during these challenging times.

Similarly, the Majority Leader of the House, Hon. Barr. Abdulqadir Ọba Magaji, expressed his gratitude to Honourable Shagaya, noting that the Ilorin West and Asa Federal Constituency has never had better representation.
